Two New Branch Locations Featuring a Cold Formed Steel Frame Design
Overview
The construction of two new branch locations for Danversbank required a cold-formed steel design and façade design to mimic the many other existing banking institutions located throughout Massachusetts. The two new branch locations in Needham, MA and Waltham, MA were designed using a structural steel frame design, with cold-formed steel framed exterior walls as backup for brick veneer.
Summit Engineering provided structural engineering service for a variety of building projects for Danversbank, before the bank was acquired by People’s United Bank. These projects included new construction as well as many retrofits and renovations. Renovation and retrofit projects have included the analysis and design of floor reinforcing for revised loading in existing buildings throughout Massachusetts.
